Caramel Makhana

Ingredients to make Caramel Makhana

  • 2 cups Makhana
  • 1/4 cup jaggery
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 2 tbsp roasted pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tbsp roasted sesame seeds

How to make Caramel Makhana

  1. DRY ROAST 2 CUPS FOX NUTS ON LOW HEAT, STIRRING IN BETWEEN
  2. ROAST FOR ABOUT 10 MINS UNTIL FIRM & CRISP, SET ASIDE
  3. HEAT 2 TSP GHEE, ADD 1/4 CUP JAGGERY, ALLOW IT TO MELT, TAKE OFF HEAT
  4. ADD THE ROASTED FOX NUTS, 2 TBSP ROASTED PUMPKIN SEEDS
  5. ADD 2 TBSP ROASTED SESAME SEEDS, SAUTE
  6. MIX WELL UNTIL THE FOX NUTS GET WELL COATED WITH THE JAGGERY
  7. COOL & STORE IN AN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER
