Creamy Classy Pasta

Ingredients to make Creamy Classy Pasta

  • Penne pasta 1 cup (uncooked)
  • Milk 1/2 litre (boiled and cooled)
  • butter 1 tablespoon
  • olive oil 1 tablespoon
  • garlic 4 to 5 cloves
  • onion 1 medium sized
  • American corn 4 tablespoon
  • maida 1 tablespoon
  • chilli flakes as per taste
  • Mixed Italian seasoning as per taste
  • salt as per taste
  • Black pepper powder as per taste
  • Cheese 5 to 6 tablespoon
  • Basil leaves a few

How to make Creamy Classy Pasta

  1. Boil water and cook the penne pasta till almost done (Al dente).
  2. Drain the water and pour some cold water on to the cooked pasta to stop overcooking.
  3. In a pan add olive oil, butter, finely chopped garlic and fry for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add finely chopped onion and fry for about 2 minutes. Add the corn ( I have used frozen corn) and fry for about 2 minutes
  5. Meanwhile, mix maida with 4 tablespoon milk and make a paste without any lumps.
  6. Once the onion and corn are cooked, add the milk and maida mixture and stir continuously.
  7. Add the remaining milk and cook on a low to medium heat.
  8. Add chilli flakes, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, grated cheese and cook till it melts.
  9. Add basil leaves (tear them with hands before adding). Add pasta and mix.
  10. Serve it hot with garlic bread.

My Tip:

Do not overcook the pasta. Do not make the pasta too dry. Ensure there is enough sauce as the sauce gives the real taste to the dish. You can choose to add any suitable veggies like Zucchini, Broccoli, Baby Corn, Olives etc.
