ABOUT Poached Egg Curry RECIPE

A very simple, basic but tasty recipe of egg and too easy to cook also.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Poached Egg 1
  2. Tomato (medium size) 1
  3. Mustard/Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
  4. Onion paste 1 tbsp
  5. Ginger-garlic paste 2/3 tbsp
  6. Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Corriander powder 1/2 tsp
  8. Shahi garam masala powder 1 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  10. Kashmiri Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  11. Whole dry chillies 2
  12. Mustard/Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
  13. Garlic 2 cloves
  14. Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  15. Bay Leaf 1
  16. Sugar to taste
  17. Salt to taste
  18. Water as required

Instructions

  1. At first prepare the red paste by blending the tomato sauce, garlic cloves, sugar, turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, dry red chillies and lemon juice using the mixer grinder.
  2. In a wok, heat up the oil and add a bay leaf followed by the onion paste.
  3. When the onion turns brownish, add ginger garlic paste, saute for a minute then mix the red paste, allow it to be well cooked on a medium flame.
  4. When the red masala is almost cooked and oil starts to separate, add the cumin, coriander powder and mix well.
  5. Now add 1 cup water, adjust the seasoning and let it come to a boil.
  6. When the gravy comes to your desired consistency, carefully shift the poached egg into it, Stir very lightly and cook for another minute.
  7. Sprinkle some shahi garam masala powder on it and turn off the flame. Garnish with some fresh coriander leaves and serve.

very nice way of poaching the eggs..i am sure it is very yummy!
