Ingredients to make Cream Cheese Pound Cake

  • all purpose flour 3 cups
  • Baking powder 2.5 tsp
  • baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • butter 1.5 cup
  • cream cheese 230 gms
  • Vanilla essence 3 tsp
  • sugar 1.5 cups
  • eggs 4

How to make Cream Cheese Pound Cake

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degree centigrade and grease a pound cake pan.
  2. Sift all the dry ingredients, except sugar, together. In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar, add cream cheese and beat again. Now add eggs one at a time. Beat until fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla essence and beat again. Now add the dry mix. Beat until all well blended.
  4. Pour this mix in the greased pan and bake for about 30 minutes at 180 degree centigrade (see your oven temperature setting too) and then 20 minutes at 160 degree centigrade. Do a toothpick test and see if it is all baked.
  5. Let it cool outside and remove when it is completely cool. Enjoy.

My Tip:

Add a little cinnamon for that extra aroma and flavour.
