Mango Chutney

Ingredients to make Mango Chutney

  • Raw mango pulp 150 gms
  • Paanch Phoron 1 tablespoon
  • sugar 300 gms
  • salt 1 pinch
  • turmeric powder 1 pinch
  • Sunflower oil 1/2 tablespoon

How to make Mango Chutney

  1. Add oil in a pan, heat it and add the panch phoron (mouri, black cumin, methi, black mustard, radhooni) and fry them.
  2. Add the mango pulp to it and fry them for a few minutes.
  3. Add salt and a pinch of turmeric powder to it and water. Cook till the mango starts melting.
  4. Add sugar and a little bit of water and cover the lid and keep on a mild flame.
  5. When the whole things turns thick turn off the oven and serve.
  6. Tastes best when cold.

My Tip:

Be careful when adding the turmeric powder.
