ABOUT Cream Cheese Cookies RECIPE

Crisp on the edges and chewy on the inside , these cookies have a unique taste and texture. Adapted from Food52.

Ingredients Serving: 20

  1. 90 grams or 6 tablespoons cream cheese, at room temperature
  2. 115 grams or 1/2 cup unsalted butter , at room temperature
  3. 200 grams or 1 cup granulated sugar
  4. 125 grams or 1 cup all purpose flour
  5. 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Using an electric mixer , beat together the cream cheese, butter and sugar until smooth.
  2. Add the flour and salt , and beat until the dough comes together.
  3. Chill for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile preheat your oven to 180 degree centigrade and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  4. After the chilling period, make dough balls of about 2 teaspoonfuls each and place 2 inches away on the lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 14-16 minutes until golden brown on the edges. Cool for a couple of minutes on the sheet and then completely.
