ABOUT Dhokla RECIPE

Gujrati famous breakfast with less oil.its spungy juicy taste . perfect for breakfast or u can take outside also .good thing is this if its cool then ot become much tastier.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1cup semolina
  2. 1cup besan
  3. 1chopped onion
  4. 1spoon crushed peanuts
  5. 1tbsp crushed ginger
  6. 1tbsp sugar
  7. 1cup curd
  8. 1spoon salt
  9. 1tbsp mustard seed
  10. 3-4 green chilli
  11. 1eno sachet
  12. 1spoon oil
  13. 1tbsp turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. Take bowl add all ingredients mix gently now add curd mix it.
  2. Slowly slowly add water n make smooth paste rest it for 20 min.
  3. Now add eno sachet in batter . meanwhile put some oil drops in mould and pour the mixture.
  4. Let it steam for 20min in medium flame .if u Wang u cook more 5-6min .
  5. Let it cool for 10min .take pan add oil mustard seed, green chilli and chopped onion saute it .
  6. Meanwhile in another pan add half cup water and 1/3 cup sugar let it sugar dissolves .
  7. Pour sugar syrup in dhokla n let it set then spread onion mixture.
  8. Ur spungy dhokla with onion crust is ready.
