ABOUT Onion Paratha/Pyaz ka Paratha/Onion Roti RECIPE

Usually onion parathas are prepared by stuffing, but this parathas are prepared by adding directly the sauteed onions spiced with some spice powders to the flour. Hence these rotis doesnt need any side dish to serve along with.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups Wheat flour
  2. Salt
  3. Warm water
  4. 1/2cup Onions (chopped)
  5. 3tbsp Coriander leaves
  6. 1/2tsp Garam masala powder
  7. Oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a pan, add the chopped onions and saute until the onions turns transculent. Add the garam amsala and coriander leaves saute for a while and put off the stove.
  2. Let them cool completely.
  3. Meanwhile take the wheat flour, salt, in a bowl, add the sauteed onions-coriander leaves and knead everything as smooth dough. Keep aside for half an hour.
  4. Divide the dough as 6-7 pieces. Dust the balls and roll as parathas.
  5. Heat a tawa, drop the rolled parathas, drizzle oil and cook on both sides until the parathas gets well cooked.
  6. Serve hot with side dishes.
