ABOUT Classic French Toast - Rose Flavoured RECIPE

French Toast is a popular dish, but here I have given a twist by adding rose flavour and frying them in ghee instead of butter. This is healthy too as I have used brown bread instead of a regular one. Try it and you will love it.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Brown Bread 3 thick slices
  2. Powdered Sugar 1 teaspoon
  3. Egg 2 nos.
  4. Cinnamon Powder 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Full Fat Milk 3/4 cup
  6. Rose Essence 6 drops
  7. Ghee 3 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Cut the bread slices diagonally and make 6 pieces out of 3 slices.
  2. In a mixing bowl, break the eggs and add milk, sugar powder, cinnamon powder and rose essence. Whisk properly.
  3. Add the bread slices to the whisked solution and keep for 1 to 2 minutes. Let the slices absorb the solution, but make sure they don't break.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a pan and put 2 slices very carefully. Fry both the sides of the slices until they are light golden in colour. In the same way, fry the other slices.
  5. The ghee gets absorbed in the bread so no need of a soaking paper. Remove the pieces to a regular serving tray and enjoy.
