Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Rice Flour 2cups
  2. Salt as needed
  3. Oil 2tbs (optional)
  4. Cocunut scraped 1cup or more
  5. Jaggery as needed
  6. Jaggfruit pulp(ripe) 3tbs
  7. Cardamom powder 2tsp
  8. Sesame seeds 2/3 tsp

Instructions

  1. For dough Add salt as needed to the flour.Keep
  2. aside Boil water in a saucepan (4/5cups)..
  3. Pour the boiling water little by little into the flour. Using a steel spatula keep on mixing in between pouring of water.
  4. Let the flour get wet so that it can be made into a dough when its cool enough to knead.
  5. When cooled , bring the dough together. Add oil and knead slightly.
  6. Now the dough is ready.
  7. Next prepare the filling
  8. Jackfruit pulp is mixed with cocunut, jaggery, cardamom and sesame seeds.
  9. Now take the washed and cleaned plantain leaves.
  10. Make medium sized pieces of leaves
  11. Oil or wet your fingers. Spread little dough over the leaves.
  12. Place the filling in one side and cover it with the other like an envelope.
  13. Slightly press the sides and seal it.
  14. And now its the steaming time. Steam these adas for around 15-20 min.
  15. Take out from the steamer. Allow to cool.
  16. Relish on the traditional dish.
