About Manchurian Recipe

Indian version of chinese cooking

Manchurian

Ingredients to make Manchurian

  • Chopped vegetables 2 cups( carrot,onion,cabbage,capsicum)
  • cornflour 5 tbsp
  • green chillies 4 finely chopped
  • garlic 10 cloves finely chopped
  • ginger 1 tsp crushed
  • vinegar 1tbsp
  • Soy sauce 1tbsp
  • chilli sauce 1 tbsp
  • tomato sauce 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper 2tsp
  • salt 2 tsp
  • oil to fry
  • water 2 cups

How to make Manchurian

  1. 1. For manchurian balls Mix chopped veggies, 3 tbsp cornflour, half of chopped garlic, ginger and green chillies, salt 1tsp and 1tsp black pepper.
  2. Make small balls of above mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a deep wok. Fry the manchurian balls in hot oil till its golden brown.
  4. 2. For gravy In another wok pour 2tbsp oil and add remaining green chillies garlic and ginger.
  5. After 3-4 minutes add vinegar, chilli sauce, soy sauce and tomato sauce.
  6. Now add water and salt and black pepper to it and let it boil.
  7. In a cup mix 2 tbsp cornflour and 1/2 cup water. Add this mixture to the above sauce gravy. Let it boil till you achieve thick gravy consistency.
  8. Now put the manchurian balls into the gravy add simmer for few minutes so that the balls absorb gravy nicely. Serve with fried rice.

My Tip:

Mix salt in the manchurian balls mixture just before making the balls else it will leave water.
