About Undrallu Recipe

It is usually eat during vinayaka chaviti in South india


Ingredients to make Undrallu

  • 1/2 cup rice ravva
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 3-4 tsp chana dal
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • salt to taste

How to make Undrallu

  1. Soak the chana dal in water for 30 min
  2. Take a pan and add ghee to it and let it melt
  3. Now add cumin seeds and let it splatter now add soaked chana Dal and fry for couple of minutes
  4. Now pour water and add enough salt and it the water come over boil
  5. Now add ravva and boil it well
  6. Now turn off the flame and let it cool
  7. Now apply some ghee to hands and make the balls out of ravva
  8. Now take the steamer and keep the balls and steam them for 5-10 minutes and serve them with chutney
