Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 10 jackfruit leaves for making idli
  2. few coconut leaf stick 
  3. 2 cups  rava
  4. 1 cup urad dal
  5. water for soaking
  6. salt as required

Instructions

  1. take 4 equal, big sized jackfruit leaves.
  2. hold and pin 3 leaves together with the help of the coconut leaf sticks.
  3. now take fourth leaf and pin facing diagonally. all the leaves tips should be pinned together.
  4. pin them together one by one at the tip of the leaves.
  5. soak the urad dal in enough water for 2 hours.
  6. drain the water from the urad dal and keep it aside and add some water for grinding the idli batter in grinder as it helps in good fermentation.
  7. Now add the ravva to it and mix well
  8. Now let it ferment overnight
  9. And add enough salt to it
  10. Now apply some oil to the leaf and pour he batter
  11. And keep the batter in steamer and cook on high flame for 10 minutes
  12. And let it cool now remove the sticks and remove the leaves and serve with coconut chutney
