ABOUT Sprouted Moong Paratha RECIPE

A very healthy and nutritious recipe full of protein and vitamins. If kids don't relish eating these sprouted dals then stuff them in parathas. These sprouted masala paranthas are not only healthy to eat but taste delicious as well.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup - wheat flour
  2. 1 cup - sprouted moong dal
  3. 1 medium-sized boiled potato
  4. 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
  5. 1 green chili finely chopped
  6. 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  7. 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
  8. 4 to 5 tablespoon oil
  9. 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  10. 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  11. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Coarsely ground the sprouted moong and add it to the wheat flour along with cumin seeds, salt, grated boiled potato, coriander powder, green chili, red chili powder, ginger grated and chopped coriander leaves.
  2. Mix all the ingredients really well and add water in small portions and knead a soft dough.
  3. Take ball sized dough and dust with wheat flour and roll it out into 4- 5-inch diameter round.
  4. Apply oil and fold again and roll it.
  5. Heat a griddle and place the rolled parantha over it.
  6. Roast the paratha by applying oil on both sides until brown spots appear on both the sides.
  7. Sprouted moong dal masala parathas are ready.
