Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 3/4 cup chana dal
  2. 1/3 cup chopped onion
  3. 1 tsp chopped ginger
  4. 1-2 green chillies
  5. 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  6. Salt,to taste
  7. Oil,for frying


  1. Wash and soak the chana dal for at least 2 hrs.
  2. Drain the water and then blend it with little water in a mixer grinder.
  3. Take it out in a bowl,add chopped onions,ginger,salt and coriander leaves.
  4. Shape them into medium size discs .
  5. Deep fry them in oil till golden brown on both sides.
  6. Drain them on an absorbent paper and serve hot with your favorite chutney or tomato sauce.
