Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Dried peas 1 Cup
  2. Baking Soda 1 Tsp
  3. onions 2
  4. tomatos 2
  5. Green chillis 5
  6. salt 1 spoon
  7. Black Slat 1 Tsp
  8. Mango Powder 2 Tsp
  9. Chaat masala 1 Tsp
  10. Green coriander 1/2 Cup
  11. Refined flour 1 Cup
  12. curd 1/4 Cup
  13. salt 1 Tsp
  14. Baking soda 1 tsp
  15. Baking powder 1 tsp
  16. oil 2 tbs
  17. butter 200 gram


  1. Soak green peas for 8 hours.
  2. Transfer it to cooker and add salt & baking soda.
  3. Cook till 1 whistle.
  4. Let release the pressure itself.
  5. Let it cool.
  6. In a big bowl add refiend flour, curd, baking soda, oil, baking powder and make a soft dough.
  7. Cover it with a lid and place it at warm place for 7-8hours.
  8. Now matar is ready.
  9. Finely chop green chilli, tomatos, onions, coriander.
  10. Add all the spices, and finely chop veggies to matar chaat.
  11. Now mix all of these.
  12. If you feel it is too thick, add little bit water.
  13. Now make small balls with the dough.
  14. Sprinkle some coriander on plateform.
  15. Roll it with rolling pin.
  16. Keep it little bit thick.
  17. Place it on tawa and cover it with lid.
  18. Add when it turns golden brown flip it.
  19. Roast it to another side.
  20. Add lots of butter.
  21. Serve with extra butter.
