ABOUT Palak paranthas RECIPE

Healty and yummy spinach paranthas, as my mom used to make and now me. My kids also love the ' green paranthas' as they call them.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 cups wheat flour
  2. 3/4 cup spinach puree
  3. 1 onion
  4. 1-2 green chillies
  5. 1 tsp carrom seeds
  6. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1 tbsp fresh malai or cream
  8. Salt,to taste
  9. Water,if required
  10. Ghee or oil,as required


  1. Take wheat flour ,salt, turmeric powder and carrom seeds in bowl.
  2. Add finely chopped onion and green chillies.
  3. Add fresh cream and make a dough with spinach puree.
  4. Add more water if required,I didn't require any additional water.
  5. Keep the dough aside for 10 mins.
  6. Make small balls of dough and roll out paranthas.
  7. Heat the tawa and shallow fry them with ghee or oil.
  8. Serve them hot with curd or potatoes,as my kids like.
