Matar kachori

Ingredients to make Matar kachori

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp semolina
  • salt to taste
  • hot water
  • oil for Deep frying
  • 500 gm matar (green peace )
  • 1 tbsp ginger chili paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

How to make Matar kachori

  1. make the dough first, mix the salt, semolina and flour together and add oil in it and then mix it well with your hands and then knead the dough with warm water 
  2. Dough should be not more soft and hard. Keep a side
  3. Crush matar in a chili cutter.
  4. Heat oil in a pan at slow flame. Add cumin seeds in it. When it is spluttering,add asafetida and turmeric powder. Also mix matar , ginger chili paste and salt.Cover lid and cook till it becomes soft.
  5. Remove lid and mix garam masala and lemon juice.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes and add coriander leaves in it.
  7. Make medium balls from dough and roll out like small puri.
  8. Feel stuffing in puri.
  9. Cover it like potli or round shape.
  10. Heat oil in a pan at medium flame. Deep fry kachori till golden brown.
  11. Once done, switch off the stove and take them out of the Oil
  12. Serve with Green Chutney
