Ingredients to make Punjabi Style Chicken Curry

  • 500 grams chicken
  • 3 chopped onions
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • salt as per taste
  • 7-8 tsp oil
  • one teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • dried red chilli
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 cup curd
  • cumin seed one teaspoon
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • cinnamon
  • black and green cardamom
  • javitri
  • little water
  • coriander leaves

How to make Punjabi Style Chicken Curry

  1. TAKE 500 GMS CHICKEN, ADD 1 TSP EACH OF SALT & TURMERIC POWDER
  2. ADD 1 TSP EACH OF RED CHILLI, CORIANDER & CUMIN POWDERS, 1 CUP CURD
  3. ADD 2 TSP GINGER-GARLIC PASTE, MIX WELL
  4. REFRIGERATE FOR 2-3 HOURS
  5. HEAT 6-7 TSP OIL, ADD 2 DRY RED CHILLIES, 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS, THE REST OF THE WHOLE GARAM MASALA
  6. ADD 3 CHOPPED ONIONS, SAUTE UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN
  7. ADD 2 CHOPPED TOMATOES, SAUTE UNTIL SOFT
  8. ADD THE MARINATED CHICKEN, MIX WELL
  9. ADD A LITTLE WATER FOR THE GRAVY
  10. COVER & COOK ON LOW-MEDIUM HEAT FOR 15 MINS
  11. SIMMER UNCOVERED FOR 2-3 MINS, ADD 2 TBSP CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES, MIX WELL
  12. SIMMER TILL DONE, SERVE HOT WITH ROTI OR RICE
