Dhaba Style Aloo Palak

Ingredients to make Dhaba Style Aloo Palak

  • potato 300 grams
  • spinach 1 bunch
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • one teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 2 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 2 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2 teaspoon chopped green chilli
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 5-6 teaspoon oil
  • water as per required
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

How to make Dhaba Style Aloo Palak

  1. HEAT 3 CUPS WATER, ADD 250 GMS SPINACH LEAVES, COOK FOR 3-4 MINS
  2. DRAIN THE SPINACH, ALLOW IT TO COOL
  3. ADD TO A MIXER JAR, BLEND IT WITH A 1 INCH PIECE OF GINGER
  4. TAKE 300 GMS BOILED POTATOES, ADD SALT, 1 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, RUB WELL
  5. HEAT 5-6 TBSP OIL, FRY THE POTATOES
  6. FRY UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN, SET ASIDE
  7. IN THE SAME OIL, ADD 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS, 1 CUP CHOPPED ONIONS, 2 TSP GARLIC, SAUTE UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN
  8. ADD 1 CUP CHOPPED TOMATOES, 2 TSP GREEN CHILLIES, SALT, SAUTE UNTIL SOFT
  9. ADD THE SPINACH-GINGER PASTE, 1 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  10. ADD 1 TSP EACH OF RED CHILLI & CORIANDER POWDERS, MIX WELL
  11. ADD SOME WATER, SIMMER FOR AROUND 5-7 MINS
  12. ADD 1 TSP GARAM MASALA POWDER
  13. ADD THE FRIED POTATOES, MIX & COOK FOR 2 MINS
  14. GARNISH WITH 2 TSP FRESH CREAM, SERVE HOT WITH ROTI OR RICE
