Chemba is made up of red rice..soaked and powder chemba powder with ari powder its a traditional and very famous recipe in kerala..in a cylenderical shape steamed

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Red rice powder 150 gms
  2. Ari flore 150gms
  3. Grated coconut 2cups
  4. salt half tsp
  5. water few tsp
  6. sugar powder 40gms

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl put soaked drained red rice powder
  2. Add sugar powder mix water few drops
  3. Mix well through finger powder should be slightly wet
  4. Mix as pull free batter as well ari powder in a bowl
  5. Put salt,suagar powder mix up with few spoons of water rest 5 mins
  6. Take a cylinder shaped tube apply ghee in inside
  7. Put grated coconut in base stuff red rice in one layer
  8. Put some grated coconut in it then fill up ari powder in it
  9. Inthe top grated coconut fill up close end steam uo 20 min
  10. In medium flame cook it
  11. Once it cooked take a serving plate push one side into plate
  12. Serve along with aloo koorma is best side combination with puttu
  13. It's oil free best break fast to have this ready to serve
