About Bachka Recipe

Savoury fried pancake, made from rice, red lentils and green gram.

Bachka

Ingredients to make Bachka

  • rice - 2 cup
  • Masoor dal/red lentils - 1 cup
  • green gram/hara chana - 1 cup
  • red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • salt - As required
  • water - as required
  • oil - for fry

How to make Bachka

  1. Soak rice and red lentils(masoor dal) for 2 hours.
  2. Drain it and grind in grinder and make coarse paste.
  3. Make a semi thick batter with help of water.
  4. Wash Green chana.
  5. Add green chana in batter.
  6. Add red chilli powder, salt and garam masala according to taste.
  7. Heat oil in a pan
  8. Put 1 ladle full batter in pan.
  9. Fry it from both side till it turn golden and crispy.
  10. Tasty and crispy bachka is ready.
