What makes them even more healthier is the fact that they are baked and not fried. Also, with only a subtle hint of spices, they absolutely make for a perfect option for kids.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bread slices - 8 to 10
  2. Crumbled paneer - 1/2 cup
  3. Grated mozzarella or processed cheese - 2 tbsp
  4. Finely chopped onions - 1/4 cup
  5. Chopped fresh coriander - a handful
  6. Finely chopped green chili - 1
  7. Salt - to taste
  8. Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. Dried oregano - 1/2 tsp
  10. Oil - to smear on the rolls
  11. Water - a little

Instructions

  1. Make the filling mixture by nicely combining paneer, processed cheese, chopped chilies, onions, coriander, salt, black pepper powder and oregano. Keep aside.
  2. Take a slice of bread; if you wish cut off the edges.
  3. Roll it thin using a rolling pin.
  4. Next, dab some water on the slice, especially on the edges. Do not over wet the bread.
  5. Now place about a tablespoon of paneer mixture on the side of the bread.
  6. Next roll the bread tightly and pinch the edges together to seal it nicely.
  7. Do the same for all bread slices. Meanwhile, preheat oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes
  8. Smear some oil on top of each bread roll and pop in the oven to bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until it gets crisp and turns golden in color.
  9. Take out and serve immediately with some ketchup or green chutney on the side.
