A delicious deep fried flat bread from the MAnipuri Cuisine

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. All purpose Flour / Maida- 1 cup
  2. Thick Yogurt- 2 tablespoons
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Oil to deep fry
  5. Water to knead the dough

Instructions

  1. Take the Maida and salt in a bowl and mix well
  2. Put in yogurt and add water little by little and knead to a soft non sticky dough
  3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. Pinch out small balls of the dough and roll out to 3" circles.
  5. Gently slide into the hot oil.Press with ladle and slowly the puri will puff up.Turn it over and cook for a few secondsRemove from oil and drain on a kitchen towel.
  6. Repeat for the remaining dough
  7. Serve with a side of your choice
