Breakfast gets an instant boost of energy when it's sweet, delicious and colourful. Nobody has hours to spare in the morning and that's why these instant donuts are even more special. You don't need yeast, you don't need any fancy equipments, just make these with a few simple ingredients and enjoy with your loved ones.

Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. Flour 2 cups
  2. Baking powder 1 teaspoon
  3. Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Yogurt 1 teaspoon
  5. 1 egg
  6. Butter 2 teaspoons
  7. Sugar 1/4 cup
  8. Milk 1/2 cup
  9. Powdered sugar 1 cup
  10. honey 2 teaspoons
  11. Soyabean oil for deep frying
  12. Food colour


  1. In a bowl mix together 1/4 cup milk, 1 egg, butter, yogurt and sugar. To this, add baking powder, baking soda and half of the flour. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Now add the rest of the flour and knead this until you get a soft dough.
  3. Roll out the dough using a rolling pin. The thickness should be half an inch. Cut the donut shapes using a bowl or a cookie cutter and cut the holes using the cap of a bottle.
  4. Cut all the donuts like this.
  5. Heat the oil and deep fry these until the colour is golden.
  6. In a bowl mix together the powdered sugar and honey. To this, add some milk and make a thick paste. Add a few drops of food colour on this and make patterns using a tooth pick.
  7. Dip one side of the donuts in this and slowly take it out.
  8. Prepare all the donuts like this and serve.
