ABOUT Sweet buns RECIPE

Homemade sweet buns filled with khoya and dry fruits.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour - 3 cups
  2. Salt - 1/2 tsp
  3. Veg oil - 2 tbsp
  4. Sugar - 1 tbsp
  5. Lukewarm milk - 1 cup
  6. Active dry yeast - 2 tsp
  7. Dessicated coconut - 1/3 cup
  8. Dry dates - 5
  9. Almonds - 5
  10. Khoya - 2tbsp
  11. Sugar powder - 1 tbsp
  12. Sesame seeds - 1 tbsp
  13. Butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl take lukewarm milk.
  2. Add sugar and salt.
  3. Add active dry yeast and mix.
  4. Cover and leave for 15 minutes.
  5. In a big bowl take maida.
  6. Add salt and oil.
  7. Add proofed yeast.
  8. Knead a soft dough from all ingredients.
  9. Knead atleast 10 minutes.
  10. After kneading cover and leave it in a warm place for 1 and half hours.
  11. After 1 and half hours it will double in size.
  12. Knead it again and make medium size balls from it.
  13. Mix desiccated coconut, dry dates powder, crushed almonds, sugar powder and khoya.
  14. Stuffing is ready.
  15. Fill stuffing mixture in balls and close.
  16. Give it round shape again using your hand.
  17. After stuffing balls, keep on greased baking tray.
  18. Leave it for 30 minute.
  19. After 30 minute, brush milk on top and sprinkle sesame seeds.
  20. Bake on 200 degree for 15 minutes.
  21. After baking immediately brush butter on top of buns.
  22. Enjoy soft and sweet buns..
