ABOUT Rava kozhukottai RECIPE

Ammini Kozhukottai is rice dumpling which tossed in spicy lentil powder. It is perfect recipe for breakfast .I have made these with a twist using sooji intead of rice making them more healthy and tasty .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups rawa
  2. 5 cups water
  3. 1tsp green chilli paste
  4. Salt 1tsp
  5. 2 tsp oil
  6. For tampering
  7. 4 table spoon oil
  8. 1tsp mustard
  9. 2table sooon curry leaves
  10. 1table spoon chana dal
  11. 1table spoon urad dal
  12. 1table spoon sesame seeds
  13. 1table spoon dhaniya powder
  14. 1teaspoon amchoor powder.
  15. 1table sooon red chilli powder

Instructions

  1. Boil 5 cups water in a big wide pan with salt ,green chilli ginger paste and 2table spoon oil
  2. Add rawa in boiling water and stir continuesly.
  3. When it leaving sides of pan take it out from the pan .
  4. Keep it for cooling .
  5. After cooling apply oil on palms and make lekin size balls with mixture .
  6. Steam these balls in idli stand for 10 minutes till soften .
  7. Take them out and keep aside .
  8. Heat oil in a wide pan .
  9. Crackle mustard chana dal , urad dal ,curry leaves, sesame seeds and roast dhaniya powder ,and amchoor powder and red chilli powder.
  10. Mix rawa balls in tampering .
  11. Tossed them with light hands .
  12. Serve warm with tea or coffee for perfect healthy breakfast.
