It doesnt get more decadent than this....!! Recipe adapted from Website of Philladelphia Cream Cheese and tweaked to make its veg version.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Milk 70 ml
  2. Condensed milk 30 gm ( 2 heaped tablespoon )
  3. Cream cheese 50 gm, Whisked in mixie to smoothen
  4. Dark Chocolate 80 gm, melted ( Avoid Compound )
  5. 1/2 stick of cinnamon
  6. 2 cloves
  7. 1/4 teaspoon red chilli flakes ( Optional )
  8. 1 tablespoon sugar ( Optional )
  9. 1 heaped tablespoon cornflour
  10. 4-5 strips of Orange rind
  11. 1 teaspoon candied orange peel, chopped in thick pieces. ( optional )
  12. 2 tablespoon sugar ( For caramelization)

Instructions

  1. In a heavy bottom pan, take the cream cheese, milk, cloves, cinnamon , orange rind, red chilli flakes ( optional ) and sugar ( optional )
  2. Let it stand for 10 minutes so that the spices leave their essence and flavor.
  3. Add in the cornflour.
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes on low flame.
  5. Shut off the flame and let it stand for 10 minutes.
  6. Strain to remove the spice pieces.
  7. Melt the chocolate on double boiler.
  8. Add the cream cheese mixture, condensed milk to the chocolate.
  9. Again keep on low flame and cook till it thickens ( 5 Minutes ). Lastly add the candied orange peel pieces and whisk gently. ( Optional )
  10. Pour in individual serving glass bowls.
  11. Set in fridge, for about 2-3 hours till it firms up well.
  12. Lastly, sprinkle sugar on each bowl and caramelize it.
  13. To caramelize, use a blow torch OR take a spoon and heat its back.
  14. Press the hot spoon lightly on the sugar. It will caramelize.
  15. Serve cold or warm. Either way, it tastes awesome.
