Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 15 to 18 indian gooseberries (amla)
  2. 3/4 tsp turmeric powder
  3. 4 tbsp oil
  4. 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  5. 1 tsp salt
  6. 5 to 6 green chilli
  7. 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  8. 1 tbsp mustard powder
  9. 1 tbsp red Chilli powder
  10. 2 to 3 tbsp jaggery
  11. 2 tsp onion seeds


  1. Boil amla with salt and 1/4 tsp turmeric powder with water in nonstick pan til amla is soft
  2. Drain , cool down amla to room temperature and cut them into wedges.
  3. Heat oil in another pan add fenugreek seeds nd let them change colour
  4. Add fennel seeds to the pan and mix well. Add ground paste and mix well. Add remaining turmeric powder, nd mix well. Cook till the mixture is lightly browned.
  5. Add mustard powder, red Chilli powder, gooseberries piece, jaggery salt and mix well.
  6. Add onion seeds nd mix well. Switch off the heat nd mix well
  7. Transfer the prepared pickle into a jar nd serve as required
