This is a very tasty and easy recipe that I learnt from my mom.

Ingredients Serving: 4
Amla - about 22
Garlic - about 15 cloves cut into thin slices
Red chilly powder- 1 tbspn (I used half kashmiri and the half spicy )
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tspn
Hing- 1/4 tspn
Roasted Methi seeds powder- 1/4 tspn
Curry leaves - few
Mustard Seeds- 1 tspn
Gingelly oil- 2 tbspn
Salt to taste
Water - as per need
Instructions
Wash the amla well.....Take some water in a kadhai and keep it to boil...Then put the amla in it and let it boil for 5 minutes...Then turn off the gas...And let it cool.
Now remove them on a plate... And cut into thin slices
Now heat a kadhai and put oil....
When hot add mustard seeds and hing...
Then add the curry leaves
Now in a small bowl take about 2 tbspn water and put the red chilly powder in it and make a paste....Now add that paste in the oil ... Put turmeric powder....Fry for about two minutes on low flame ....Or else it will burn.
Now add the garlic slices...Fry for a few minutes....
Now add the sliced amla pieces....
Add salt and roasted methi seeds powder and mix well....
Turn off the gas and let it cool...Now store in a bottle and refrigerate it.
Your Amla pickle is ready .
