ABOUT Spicy Egg curry RECIPE

I always cook eggs in different ways with different spices. This is one of the eazy and tasty recipe of egg curry.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boil eggs 4
  2. Green cilli 3-4 or as you like
  3. Garlic 4-5 pods
  4. Ginger 1/2"
  5. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  6. Onion chopped 1 medium size
  7. Chopped tomato 1 medium size
  8. Red chilli powder (optional) as you prefer
  9. Turmeric powder as required
  10. sugar 1/2 teaspoon
  11. salt as per taste
  12. Oil for cooking 2 tablespoon
  13. Garam mashala powder 1/2 teaspoon


  1. Peel eggs and keep aside
  2. Make a mix paste of garlic, ginger, cumin and green cilli ,keep it aside
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon oil add half of the turmeric powder, mix it well.
  4. Make slightly slit in each egg and fry in the turmeric mix oil.
  5. Then remove from oil and keep aside
  6. Add 1 tablespoons oil with the remaining oil. Heat it and add chopped onions.
  7. Add sugar and fry until golden brown in colour.
  8. Add rest of the turmeric powder, red chilli powder and chopped tomatoes.
  9. Stir and let it fry. Add the garlic ginger cumin chilli paste and mix. Keep stirring and add salt.
  10. When fried smell of garlic ginger appears, add 1& 1/2 cup of water.
  11. Let it cook for 4-5 minutes then add eggs and cover witha lid. Let cook for another 5-6 minutes.
  12. Remove the lid and sprinkle garam mashala powder and cover again.
  13. Remove from heat and serve with roti , naan, paratha or rice .
