About Carrot pickle

Making easy, Soft and crunchy pickle,

Ingredients to make Carrot pickle

  • 3 carrot thickly sliced (1 1/2 cup chopped)
  • 2 inches ginger thinly sliced
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 1 dried Red chilli
  • 3/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp hing
  • 10 curry leaves
  • 2 tsp red chilli powder if u prefer spicy add mire
  • 1/4 turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds powder
  • 1/4 tsp fenugreek powder
  • 2 tbsp salt, as your taste
  • Half lemon juice

How to make Carrot pickle

  1. Firstly heat the 2 tbsp of oil in pan and add thinly chopped ginger slices.
  2. Next add thickly chopped carrot in the same pan
  3. Saute well for 1 min on medium flame and keep aside and in the same pan add 3 tbsp oil,
  4. Once oil is sufficiently hot then add dry red chilli , hing, Curry leaves, mustard seeds and till the mustard seeds splitter, further more add chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, mustard seeds powder, fenugreek powder, to prepare fenugreek and mustard powder dry roast then powder them. Give a good mix and switch off the flame.
  5. Now add carrot and Ginger, additionally add vinegar, lemon juice then give a good mix. Once Pickle's cooled, then transfer the glass jar and clean the sides with the tissue paper
  6. Finally carrot Pickle's is ready to immediately serve or store in air tight container.
