ABOUT Mushroom Pickle/Instant Mushroom Pickle/ RECIPE

Very easy to make this pickle takes hardly less than 15 minutes to get ready. They are ready to serve immediately, however i enjoyed them after an hour. Served along with sambar rice or curd rice, this fingerlicking goodness pickle tastes absolutely fabulous.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 cups Chopped Button Mushrooms
  2. 1tbsp Red chilly powder
  3. 1tsp Ginger garlic paste
  4. 3tsp Oil
  5. 1/2tsp Mustard seeds
  6. 2tbsp White vinegar
  7. 2tsp Salt
  8. Dry Roast
  9. 1/2tsp Fenugreek seeds
  10. 1/4tsp Asafoetida powder
  11. 1tsp Mustard Seeds

Instructions

  1. Dry roast the ingredients given under the list 'dry roast' and powder them as fine powder, keep aside.
  2. Heat the oil, in a pan, let splutters the mustard seeds, add the ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell goes away.
  3. Now add the chopped mushrooms, salt, cook until the mushrooms shrinks a bit.
  4. Add now the grounded powder, red chilly powder, fry for few seconds.
  5. Add immediately vinegar and toss everything gently until the mushroom pieces gets well coated by the spices.
  6. Enjoy this pickle with your favourite dish.
