It is used for chats and thus us sweet chutney

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 cup seedless tamarind
  2. 1/2 cup seedlesss dates
  3. 2 cup water for thinner consistency add 3 cup water
  4. 1/2 cup jaggery
  5. 1/2 tsp fennem powder
  6. 1 tsp coriander powder
  7. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  8. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 1/2 tsp dry ginger powder
  10. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Firstly in a large kadai, take equal portion of tamarind jaggery and dates.
  2. Further add 2 cups of water and mix well all
  3. Boil the mixture at least 10 mins. And add fennel powder, ginger powder, cumin and coriander powder mix all
  4. Next add red chilli powder and salt to taste then mix and mash well tamarind and dates
  5. Further more simmer the mixture for 2 minutes.later allow the mixture cool completely.
  6. And transfer the mixture to the mixer and blend smooth paste
  7. Further strain the purée,
  8. Finally serve tamarind and dates chutney in preparing sev puri, bhel puri or panipuri
