Malabar Chicken Curry

Ingredients to make Malabar Chicken Curry

  • 500 grams chicken
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • curry leaves
  • whole Garam masala
  • salt as per taste
  • 2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 6 teaspoon oil
  • 3 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup coconut milk

How to make Malabar Chicken Curry

  1. TAKE 500 GMS CHICKEN, ADD 3 TSP LEMON JUICE, SALT TO TASTE
  2. ADD 2 TSP EACH OF CORIANDER & RED CHILLI POWDERS
  3. ADD 2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, MIX WELL
  4. SET ASIDE TO MARINATE FOR 2-3 HOURS IN THE FRIDGE
  5. HEAT 5-6 TSP OIL, ADD 1 TSP WHOLE GARAM MASALA, FEW CURRY LEAVES
  6. ADD 2 CHOPPED ONIONS, SAUTE UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN
  7. ADD 2 CHOPPED TOMATOES, SAUTE
  8. ADD 2 TSP GINGER-GARLIC PASTE, SAUTE UNTIL THE MASALA LEAVES OIL
  9. ADD THE MARINATED CHICKEN, MIX WELL
  10. COVER & COOK ON LOW-MEDIUM HEAT FOR 5-7 MINS
  11. ADD 1 CUP COCONUT MILK, COVER & COOK FOR 15 MINS
  12. ADD 1 TSP GARAM MASALA POWDER, MIX & COOKFOR 2-4 MINS UNCOVERED
  13. THE CHICKEN IS DONE, SERVE HOT WITH ROTI / RICE
