About Cabbage pickle Recipe

Cabbage pickle is a spicy condiment with any meal which is easy to prepare.

Cabbage pickle

Ingredients to make Cabbage pickle

  • Grated cabbage 250 grams
  • oil 10-12 tbsp
  • mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • chana dal 2 tsp
  • salt as per taste or 5 tsp
  • red chilli powder 10 tsp
  • ginger garlic paste 4 tsp
  • red chillies 4
  • curry leaves 1 sprig
  • coriander powder 1/2 tbsp
  • lemon juice 15 tbsp
  • mustard seeds powder 2 tbsp
  • fenugreek powder 2 tbsp

How to make Cabbage pickle

  1. Take grated cabbage clean and dry it on a cloth.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal and saute it.
  3. Then add ginger garlic paste,red chillies and curry leaves and saute it.
  4. Now switch off flame and then add salt ,red chilli powder, fenugreek powder, mustard seeds powder,coriander powder and lemon juice and mix all well.
  5. Now add grated cabbage to it.mix well.
  6. Keep aside and rest it for 1-2 days.
  7. Now our cabbage pickle is ready to serve with hot rice.
