About Mixed veg pickle Recipe

This is most popular winter's pickle in northern India ...specially in Punjab haryana and U.P....There are many ways for maing this pickle.I have made this time by punjabi method.

Mixed veg pickle

Ingredients to make Mixed veg pickle

  • carrots 500 grams
  • cauliflower 500 gram
  • Turnip 250 gram
  • oil 3 tablespoons
  • jaggery 100 gram
  • White vinegar 2 teaspoons
  • salt 2 tablespoons
  • turmeric powder 2 teaspoons
  • Red pepper powder 2 teaspoons
  • mustard seeds powder 2 teaspoons
  • fennel seeds powder 2 teaspoons
  • onion seeds 1 teaspoon
  • ginger garlic paste 2 teaspoon

How to make Mixed veg pickle

  1. Wash peel and chopped all the vegetables
  2. Blanch the vegetables for 2..3 minutes
  3. Keep in sunlight for drying for 8 hours
  4. Now put a pan on heat
  5. Add oil
  6. Add ginger garlic paste
  7. Saute it
  8. Now add all the spices and jaggery
  9. Add vegetables
  10. Mix well and turn off the flame
  11. Add vinegar
  12. After cooling down fill in an airtight jar
  13. Ready to eat after 3 days
