Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 250 gms of ripe tomatoes ( cubed)
  2. 4 to 5 Khejur without seeds cut into small pieces
  3. 1/2 tsp of paanchforon
  4. 1 cup of sugar
  5. 1 tsp of crush ginger
  6. 1 dry red chilli
  7. A pinch of salt
  8. 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
  9. 2 tsp of mustard oil
  10. 2 tsp of dry roasted paanchforon powder


  1. Heat oil in a pan
  2. Add some paanchforon and a dry red chilli as tadka.
  3. When paanchforon starts splutterring add the tomatoes and Khejur together.
  4. Fry for 5 minutes . Add a pinch of salt and turmeric powder , dry for further 2to 3 minutes
  5. Add in the sugar and a pinch of salt .cover it with a lid
  6. Keep on stirring in between
  7. Remove from gas when the tomatoes and Khejur are done and all have been totally blended together
  8. Lastly sprinkle some roasted paanchforon powder
