ABOUT Raw Papaya & Coriander Leaves Soup RECIPE

This is a rare combination of Raw papaya and Coriander leaves in a soup form. But it is obviously a very healthy and a refreshing soup. It is good for the tummy and has a very soothing and a cooling effect. Great to have with some croutons and do not forget to add a dash of lime for a tangy taste.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1/2 of a medium size raw papaya, chopped
  2. 1 bunch of coriander leaves, chopped
  3. 1 onion, chopped
  4. 2-3 garlic cloves, chopped
  5. 1 tsp. butter
  6. 1 tsp. oil
  7. 2 bay leaves
  8. 3 cups water / stock
  9. 1/4 tsp. pepper powder
  10. salt to taste
  11. coriander leaves & croutons to garnish


  1. Heat oil and butter and temper with bay leaves. Add the onion and garlic cloves and saute till light brown, Add the raw papaya and saute for a minute.
  2. Add the stock, coriander leaves, salt and pepper to taste and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
  3. When cool, discard the bay leaves and blend in a mixer. Heat through and serve, garnished with coriander leaves and croutons / bread sticks.
