ABOUT ONION CHUTNEY ! RECIPE

ONION CHUTNEY is very delicious ! We can save for many months !

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Onions - 1 Kg
  2. Garlic - 150 gms
  3. Tamarind - 200 gms
  4. Turmeric powder - 5 gms
  5. Mustard powder - 25 gms
  6. Gingly oil - 350 ml
  7. Chilly powder - 100 gms
  8. Salt - 125 gms
  9. Sodium benzoate - 1/8 tsp

Instructions

  1. Chop onions
  2. Chop garlic ( You can avoid garlic )
  3. Fry them in 100 ml oil !
  4. Fry until golden brown color !
  5. Add thick tamarind pulp !
  6. Alow to boil to remove raw tamarind flavor !
  7. Add turmeric powder and little gingly oil !
  8. Add chilly powder and mix well !
  9. Add mustard powder and salt stir well !
  10. Add the remaining oil and sauté well !
  11. Keep stirring until the oil separates !
  12. Add sodium benzoate !
  13. Keep the sterilized bottles on wooden surface and pour hot Chutney !
  14. Wooden surface prevents the glass bottles from cracking while pouring hot chutney !
