ABOUT Green Salad RECIPE

Healthy and nutritious, they make for a light dinner along with some hearty soup. There are many variations to this salad, where one can choose what is available in the kitchen. A little bit of mix and match of the following ingredients does wonders to this dish. Baby spinach too can be included.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  2. 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  3. 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
  4. 1 cup broccoli florets, blanched
  5. 1/2 cup beans, chopped and boiled al dente
  6. 1/2 cup spring onion, chopped
  7. 1/2 cup green peas, boiled
  8. 1/2 cup coriander leaves, chopped
  9. 2 tbsp. mint leaves, chopped
  10. 1/2 cup moong dal sprouts (whole green gram), steamed
  11. juice of 1/2 lime
  12. 1/4 tsp. pepper powder
  13. salt to taste
  14. 1 tbsp. olive oil
  15. cheese, lemon slices, tomato slices and red chili sauce to garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix together all the ingredients in a big bowl. Serve, garnished with cheese, lemon slices, tomato slices and chili sauce.
