ABOUT Neer Dosa RECIPE

A Mangalore special breakfast, prepared with rice.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 2 cups of rice (raw dosa rice)
  2. 3 tbsp fresh grated coconut
  3. 2 tsp or as per taste salt
  4. Ghee 3 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak rice for minimum 5 hours.
  2. Add into blender batch by batch. Add salt, coconut and little water, grind into smooth paste. The paste should be very fine.
  3. Transfer into a bowl when you are done grinding all the rice. Add water to dilute the batter. Approximately 3 cups of water.
  4. Mix well and heat a non stick pan when the pan is hot, add a large spoonful of batter in the centre and swirl the pan, so that the batter reaches all the sides.
  5. Cover and cook for 1 minute. The dosa will come out easily, remove using a spatula.
