ABOUT Zucchini Tikkis/Zucchini Cakes RECIPE

This tikkis is almost like the popular aloo tikkis but with a twist, yes this tikkis calls for grated zucchinis along with mashed potatoes, which calls for usual spice mix and ingredients.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 4 Potatoes (pressure cooked)
  2. 1/2cup Zucchini (grated)
  3. 1/2tsp Green chillies (chopped)
  4. 1/2tsp Garam masala powder
  5. 1/4tsp Roasted cumin powder
  6. Salt
  7. 1tbsp Cornflour
  8. Oil for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. Mash the cooked potatoes well and take in a bowl.
  2. Squeeze the grated zucchini well to remove the excess of water. Keep aside.
  3. Add in the garam masala powder, chopped green chillies, chopped coriander leaves, grated zucchini,roasted cumin powder, corn flour, salt and mix well.
  4. Make small sized tikkis from the mixture. Keep the tikkis in fridge for half an hour.
  5. Heat enough oil in a pan, shallow fry the tikkis until they turns golden brown.
  6. Serve this tikkis with your favourite sauce or chutneys.
