ABOUT Corn Bullets RECIPE

In winters everyone wants hot fritters. Enjoy this tempting crispy corn bullets with sauce of your choice as starter or snack. I prepared this recipe blending the corn shells and mixing it with other vegetables.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup + 2 tablespoon corn
  2. 2 boiled medium size potatoes mashed or grated
  3. 1 onion chopped medium size
  4. 1/4 cup chopped capsicum
  5. 1 green chili finely chopped
  6. 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  7. 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  10. 2 tablespoon chickpea flour {besan}
  11. 1/4 teaspoon chaat masala
  12. 3 bread slices
  13. 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  14. 1 tablespoon corn flour/rice flour {optional}
  15. 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  16. 1 lemon juice
  17. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Blend the corn in a mixer, without using any water, to get a coarse paste.
  2. Transfer the paste to a large mixing bowl.
  3. Now add all the ingredients except oil and mix well.
  4. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape each portion as u like. I gave bullet shape.
  5. Heat the oil in a wok and deep fry the bullets till they turn golden brown and crisp form all the sides.
  6. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  7. Serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
