Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250 gms paneer
  2. 1 capsicum
  3. 2 onions
  4. 1 large sized tomato
  5. 3-4 cloves of Garlic
  6. 1 small piece of ginger
  7. 2 Black pepper corns
  8. 2 cloves
  9. Sabut lal mirch (dry red chilli)
  10. 1 cup cashew nuts
  11. 1/2 tsp kashmiri lal mirch (red chilli powder)
  12. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  13. 1 tsp coriander powder
  14. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  15. Kasuri methi as per taste
  16. salt to taste
  17. 1 tbsp butter
  18. 1 cup malai (cream)


  1. Take a wok add butter, black pepper corns, cloves and dry red chilli.
  2. Then add 1 chopped or sliced onions, garlic and ginger. As the color changes, add cashews and saute it.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and cook it for 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Cool the mixture and grind it into a fine (smooth) paste.
  5. In the same wok, add a little butter, diced onion, capsicum and saute it. Take it out on a plate, keep aside.
  6. Add the ground paste in the wok and cook for 1 minute. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Saute it.
  7. Add salt and mix it properly. Add malai (whisk it before adding) and add a little water, bring it to a boil.
  8. Add diced paneer, onion and capsicum. Cover the wok and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Add garam masala and kasuri methi. Serve with naan or tandoori roti.
