Who doesn’t love Bajjis? I am sure there are many out there who are a die hard fan of these “Mirchi Bhajjis“. Stufffing these mirchi bajjis with a simple Potato masala makes it more intresting and tasty . Stuffed Mirchi Bajji’s accompanied with a cup of hot tea .. awesome ..What more do we need for a nice evening refreshment!

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. for stuffing :
  2. 2 potatoes
  3. 1 onion
  4. 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  5. 1 tbsp Chili powder
  6. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1 pinch asafoetida
  8. 1/4 cup coriander leaves
  9. salt as needed
  10. for bhajji;
  11. 8 Bajji Chili/Banana pepper
  12. 3/4 cup Gram flour
  13. 4 tsp Rice flour
  14. 2 tbsp Chili powder
  15. 1 tbsp Kashmiri Chili powder
  16. 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  17. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  18. 1/4 tbsp corn flour
  19. oil for frying
  20. salt as needed

Instructions

  1. Wash and pressure cook potatoes, once done mash it. Wash chilies, carefully slit in the middle and finely chop onion and coriander leaves.
  2. In a bowl add mashed potatoes, chopped onion, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, asafoetida, and salt. Mix everything well, keep it aside.
  3. In a bowl add gram flour, rice flour, chili powder, corn flour, turmeric powder, Kashmiri chili powder, asafoetida, and salt.
  4. Mix everything well, add water little by little, make the batter as flowing consistency.
  5. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan. Fill potato stuffing within the chili.
  6. Dip the stuffed chili in the batter, fry it in the hot oil, till golden brown. Serve hot.
