ABOUT Orange kheer RECIPE

It's a winter special kheer because oranges are available in this winter season and its perfect sweetness are found in this winter time.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Oranges 2
  2. Milk 1 litter
  3. Sugar 150 grams (depends on the sweetness of oranges)
  4. Chopped cashew-pista-almond 1/4 cup
  5. Khoya /mawa 150 grams

Instructions

  1. Take out the inner pulp and juice from oranges.
  2. Heat milk until boil and wait for reduce the milk into 1/2 litter
  3. Put a pan on a gas then add the orange pulp and juices along with 1/3 cup of sugar (if the oranges are sour then add more sugar for making the orange syrup)
  4. Stir continuously for making the consistancy of the orange syrup.
  5. When It's turn slightly thickens and sticky then switch off the burner and set aside for cooling down.
  6. After boiling the milk when it's reduced in 1/2 litter, then add sugar and crushed mawa
  7. Stir continuously
  8. After that add all the chopped nuts (cashew-pista-almonds)and stir for 2-3 minutes
  9. Switch off the burner and cooling down in a room temperature.
  10. After cooling down the both of kheer and orange syrup, add the syrup into the ready kheer and mix them well
  11. After mixing, poured the orange kheer in a orange shell or bowl
  12. Garnish with chopped nuts & orange syrup then served
