ABOUT BEETROOT POORI AND PALAK PANEER RECIPE

One can enjoy this combo in winter ,rich creamy green coloured palak paneer with red hot poories ,tastes delicious

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. for poories--- beetroot 1( medium)
  2. Water 2 cups
  3. Refined flour 2 cups
  4. salt one teaspoon
  5. carom seeds one teaspoon
  6. Oil as required
  7. for palak paneer---- paneer 200 gram
  8. spinach puree 200 gram(blanch and make paste)
  9. whole Garam Masala( cardamom, cloves and cinnamon sticks) per 2
  10. dried Kashmiri Chilli 2
  11. Bay leaf 1
  12. Ginger paste 2 teaspoons
  13. tomato paste half cup
  14. Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  15. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  16. Turmeric powder half teaspoon
  17. Cashew paste 2 tablespoons
  18. kasuri Methi (crushed) one teaspoon
  19. Fresh cream 3 teaspoons
  20. salt as per taste
  21. Oil as required

Instructions

  1. cut the beetroot into small pieces
  2. boil them with two cups of water until soft(don't throw the water)
  3. blend them and make a smooth paste
  4. take the flour in a bowl
  5. add salt, beetroot paste, carom seeds,1teaspoon oil and mix well
  6. now add little amount of beetroot boiled water at a time and knead a firm dough
  7. add 1 tea spoon of oil on the top, cover and rest it
  8. meanwhile make the palak paneer
  9. heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok
  10. Fry the paneer till Golden, keep aside
  11. now heat one tablespoon of oil, add Garam Masala, bay leaf, Kashmiri red chilli to it and fry for a few seconds(low flame)
  12. now add ginger paste and fry
  13. Add tomato paste and cook for 2 to 3 minutes in low flame
  14. now add spinach purée, salt, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well
  15. now add cashew paste and combine well
  16. add fried paneer , kasuri methi and 2 teaspoons of fresh cream
  17. it's ready to serve
  18. Garnish it with remaining fresh cream
  19. now divide the dough into equal parts
  20. heat sufficient amount of oil in wok
  21. make poories and fry
  22. serve hot with palak paneer
