Beetroot Halwa

Ingredients to make Beetroot Halwa

  • Beetroot 2 cups
  • sugar half cup
  • Milk 1 cup
  • ghee 2 Tbsp
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Roasted cashews 6
  • Roasted raisins 6

How to make Beetroot Halwa

  1. Peel and grate beetroot.
  2. Add ghee in a frying pan and saute the beetroots for 5 mins.
  3. Add milk and mix well.
  4. Cook on a low flame and close with a lid.
  5. Keep stirring well, add sugar.
  6. Cook for 5 mins.
  7. Add cardamom powder and mix well.
  8. Add roasted cashew and raisins.

My Tip:

You could replace sugar with jaggery or honey for a healthy version.
