ABOUT Gajrela RECIPE

This dessert is must to have in winters. Carrot cooked in milk with sugar and some flavours and dry fruits make it super yummy .so it's a must in winter.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Carrot- 1 kg
  2. Milk -1/2 litre
  3. Sugar 1/4 th cup or as per taste
  4. Green Cardamom powder-1/2 tsp
  5. Dry fruits mix of kishmish, cashew nut-1/4 cup
  6. Clarified butter/ghee-3-4 tbsp
  7. Mawa-5 tsp

Instructions

  1. First wash and clean the carrots then grate it with help of grater from thin side.
  2. Next add clarified butter /ghee in thick bottom pan.
  3. As it melts add grated carrot in it .mix well and cover it with lid.cook at low-medium flame for 20 minutes.keep on stirring in between.
  4. Next add milk to it .cook till milk dries.
  5. When milk is very less in carrots add sugar and dry fruits.Again cook till milk dries completely and ghee comes out.
  6. Can add mawa to it for extra rich texture
